No credit yet? Everyone starts somewhere.

A first car with no credit history can be hard to finance, and that says nothing about you. A finance specialist at Morrey Nissan of Coquitlam will walk you through it, one plain step at a time.

  • Free, no obligation
  • A real person reviews every file

What we look at

No history isn’t bad history.

Having no credit means lenders have little to go on, not that anything went wrong. They look at what you can show them: your income, your job, how long you’ve been there and your budget. We help you put that picture together.

  • Your income and your jobSteady work helps lenders see what you can comfortably afford. Bring what you have.
  • A first loan, explainedIf you’ve never borrowed before, we explain how a car loan works before you sign.
  • A down payment or trade-inNot always needed. If you have one, it can lower your payment and open up more options.

Questions

Straight answers about having no credit.

Can I get a car loan with no credit history?

It can be possible. When there is no history to review, lenders look at things like your income, your job and your budget. We’ll tell you what applies to you.

Why don’t I have a credit score?

A score is built from borrowing history, such as loans or credit cards. If you haven’t borrowed before, there may be little to score. That is common for first-time buyers and doesn’t mean anything is wrong.

Do I need a co-signer?

It depends on your situation and the lender. Your specialist will tell you whether one would help, and what your options look like with and without.

Do I need a down payment?

Not always. It depends on your situation and the lender. A down payment or a trade-in can lower your payment and open up more options, and we’ll show you both ways.

Will applying affect my credit?

The form is free and doesn’t commit you to buy anything. When you submit it, you’re giving permission for a credit check so lenders can review your application. If you have questions about that, ask us first.

Who will I be dealing with?

Windy, Maryam or Mike on the finance team at Morrey Nissan of Coquitlam, on Lougheed Highway in Port Coquitlam. Mr. Auto Finance is part of Morrey Auto Group, a family-owned group serving the Lower Mainland.
