Questions

Straight answers for the self-employed.

I’m self-employed. What will I need?

Usually your last two years of tax returns or Notices of Assessment, and recent bank statements. If your paperwork isn’t perfect, start anyway and we’ll tell you what’s missing.

My income changes month to month. Does that matter?

Lenders usually look at your income over time, which is why tax returns and bank statements matter. Tell us how your income works and your specialist will explain how to show it.

What if I haven’t filed my taxes?

Tell us. Your specialist will explain what lenders usually ask for. We can’t give tax advice, so your accountant or tax preparer is the right person for questions about filing.

Will applying affect my credit?

The form is free and doesn’t commit you to buy anything. When you submit it, you’re giving permission for a credit check so lenders can review your application. If you have questions about that, ask us first.

Do I need a down payment?

Not always. It depends on your situation and the lender. A down payment or a trade-in can lower your payment and open up more options, and we’ll show you both ways.

Who will I be dealing with?

Windy, Maryam or Mike on the finance team at Morrey Nissan of Coquitlam, on Lougheed Highway in Port Coquitlam. Mr. Auto Finance is part of Morrey Auto Group, a family-owned group serving the Lower Mainland.
